This Award scheme removes the image that conservation is all-boring and glorifies the old and archaic. It brings conservation up-to-date as daring, exciting and current.

It acknowledges works that are not about longing for days gone by, but rather how old buildings can be made contemporary and useful for today's needs.Chh was awarded under Category B (Contractor) for integrated "old' and 'new' development. They are recognitions of old buildings with new, innovative and sensitive interventions.
